The bleak (Alburnus alburnus), the main cyprinid species, along with the nase, are among the most popular catches. Anglers often use bread and compost worms, with water moss being a favorite bait. On hot summer days, fishing for bleak or nase in the heart of Novo Mesto or around Oto\u010dec is a real treat.   <\/p>\n\n<p>The Krka also offers excellent opportunities for pike and catfish fishing. Pike are well represented in the river, making the fishing dynamic and full of surprises. Fishing from a boat on the green beauty of the Krka is a special pleasure, especially when targeting pike and catfish on summer evenings.  <\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fishing Areas on the Krka River<\/h4>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>1st fishing area (salmonid area):<\/strong> brown trout, rainbow trout, and grayling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>2nd fishing area (mixed salmonid-cyprinid area):<\/strong> brown trout, rainbow trout, grayling, nase, bleak, catfish, rudd, roach, dace, barbel, chub, asp, spirlin, carp, tench, and pike.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Fishing permits can be purchased<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ribiskekarte.si\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> online<\/a> or at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitdolenjska.eu\/en\/offer\/novo-mesto-fishing-club\/\">RD Novo mesto<\/a> sales points.<\/p>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rade\u0161\u010dica Stream \u2014 ideal for fly fishing<\/h3>\n\n<p>The Rade\u0161\u010dica Stream is one of the most popular tributaries of the Krka River for fly fishing. The fishing season starts on March 1st in the upper part of the stream and on May 1st in the lower part, and it ends on November 30th. The pond is home to various cyprinid species such as carp, tench, bream, and pike-perch.
