The cave is demanding to visit, so it should only be viewed from the scenic edge. Beneath the vertical wall of the collapse crater, a prominent entrance (30&#215;20 m) opens to the north into a pocketed ice cave. The passage fans out into a 90 m wide and 30 m high chamber. The cave is a typical ice cave, where cold air and small amounts of ice remain throughout the year. A vegetation shift has developed in the collapse before the cave. Interesting subterranean beetles have been found in the cave.
