Its rich history has been shaped by the Altenburgs, Ortenburgs, the Counts of Celje, and the Breckerfeld family, who managed the castle in the 18th century. The oldest part of the castle is the early Gothic tower from the 13th century, surrounded by an arcade courtyard that has been expanded over the centuries.     <\/p>\n\n<p>In 1632, a Baroque chapel was built within the castle grounds.
