Rangus Mill boasts over a century of family tradition. It is located in Dolenje Vrhpolje, a village in the \u0160entjernej municipality in the Dolenjska region. Anton Rangus, who took over the management of the family mill 30 years ago, learned the art of milling from his father and grandfather, and now passes on this knowledge to the fourth generation. Rangus Mill produces flour using traditional methods, enhanced with modern technology. They are particularly known for their buckwheat and tartar buckwheat products, the latter being an ancient variety of buckwheat with numerous health benefits. The flour is ground the traditional way, using millstones. A special feature of the mill with grinding stones is that the grinding process occurs between stones made from natural materials, ensuring finely ground flour and an optimal milling process. This method of milling, using low temperatures, helps retain vitamins, minerals, and proteins in the flour. The grains are hulled using a traditional method described by Valvasor. As a result, in the buckwheat porridge, along with high-quality retrograded starch, substances (antioxidants, minerals) are preserved that protect our cells from damage and assist in lowering blood cholesterol levels. <\/p>\n
They also have a small shop where their products are available. By prior arrangement, it is also possible to tour the old mill and the fish farm. <\/p>\n
