The Carthusians are a community of hermits, where monks dedicate themselves to the solitary and silent path of following Christ. As a result, most of the monastery is in cloistered, inaccessible to the public. The old Gothic church from 1406 is open to visitors, where a multimedia presentation about the life of the monks and the cultural and historical significance of the charterhouse can be seen.   &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Open-Air Museum Pleterje,<\/strong> which represents an old traditional farmstead from 1833, allows visitors to explore the cradle of the Slovenian nation. The museum is open every day o<u>f the year by prior arrangement.<\/u> <\/p>\n<p>In the on-site shop, you can purchase monastic products, and by prior arrangement, you can also taste Pleterje wines.
