Kočevski rog

Kočevski Rog, a high Dinaric mountain range, stretches 25 km in length, with its highest peaks exceeding 1000 meters. The forests are naturally preserved and home to numerous animal species, including wolves, bears, and lynxes. . The area is part of the Natura 2000 network. It is linked to the lost heritage of the Gottscheers, a German community from the 14th century. During World War II, the Rog was a center of the resistance movement.
