The Old Castle

The castle, which proudly stands on a natural slope above the Lešnica stream, is first mentioned in 1300. Its rich history has been shaped by the Altenburgs, Ortenburgs, the Counts of Celje, and the Breckerfeld family, who managed the castle in the 18th century. The oldest part of the castle is the early Gothic tower from the 13th century, surrounded by an arcade courtyard that has been expanded over the centuries.

In 1632, a Baroque chapel was built within the castle grounds. The castle, which was destroyed during World War II, has been partially restored but still retains its historical charm and heritage.
