The trail through the vineyard hills of Rigelj

The trail forms a figure-eight through the Rigelj vineyard hill in Dolenjske Toplice. It connects three churches – Mali Rigelj, Cerovec and Gorica – and winds past a number of vineyard cottages. The trail has been upgraded by assigning names to the vineyard cottages, allowing visitors to stop and taste local delicacies.

The vineyard cottages are equipped with wooden boards on which the owners can hang signs. These signs—such as pendants in the shape of a salami, a wine glass, or a house—inform passing hikers when they can stop for a glass of wine, taste local delicacies, or even spend the night in the cottage.

Currently, more than 60 vineyard cottages are marked.
