Cviček
Cviček is one of the world’s rare wines in which red and white grape varieties may legally be blended. Apart from the well-known Italian Chianti, where blending was once allowed, and just a handful of other exceptions worldwide, cviček stands out as truly unique.
This dry wine is crafted from a careful mix of grape varieties: Žametna črnina /Tenderna (70%), Modra frankinja/ Blue Franconian (10%), and white varieties (20%), predominantly Kraljevina. The precise balance of red and white grapes creates a beautiful harmony, giving the wine its distinctive light red color with a ruby sheen. Cviček is exceptionally light and easy to drink, making it a perfect companion to almost any meal.
It is a true specialty of Dolenjska – a Slovenian indigenous wine variety with an alcohol content of just 8.5–10% vol.
