Along the path of Slak’s and Pavček’s youth

The 12-kilometer circular route of Slak’s and Pavček’s youth is easy and suitable for all age groups, including cyclists, horseback riders, and families with small children. Locals and visitors walk it together every year at the end of June. However, you can walk it anytime on your own.

The trail is well-marked and leads through the picturesque corners of this smallest Slovenian municipality, where the great figures of Mirno Peč spent their youth. The view of the meadows, pastures, and vineyards is beautiful in all seasons, and along the way, you will find several cultural, historical, and other points of interest.

The trail begins in front of the Lojze Slak and Tone Pavček Museum in Mirna Peč, and it also passes by Pavček’s family home in Šentjurij na Dolenjskem and Slak’s memorial at the Barbo Tourist Farm in Mali Kal.
