Krka River — a fishing paradise

The Krka River, stretching 59 km, is home to numerous fish species that offer unforgettable fishing experiences. The bleak (Alburnus alburnus), the main cyprinid species, along with the nase, are among the most popular catches. Anglers often use bread and compost worms, with water moss being a favorite bait. On hot summer days, fishing for bleak or nase in the heart of Novo Mesto or around Otočec is a real treat.

The Krka also offers excellent opportunities for pike and catfish fishing. Pike are well represented in the river, making the fishing dynamic and full of surprises. Fishing from a boat on the green beauty of the Krka is a special pleasure, especially when targeting pike and catfish on summer evenings.
